Built on the site of the Wesley Methodist Church that came down in the 1931 earthquake
Stone laid by Reverend Fred Copeland

Methodist Hall, 403 Hastings Street South
Spanish Mission style
Hall used as the Hastings Council’s temporary office after the 1931 earthquake
