1  Dudley Newbigin at a show jumping competition at Dannevirke 1928 (Hunt Hawke’s Bay). His horse, “Aladdin”, won many trophies throughout the East Coast of the North Island.

2  Dudley at Hastings polo grounds, 1930. The polo grounds were in Chatham Road, off Omahu Road, Hastings. With so many name players in the region, club days were held on Saturday/Sunday. Those names were McKenzie, Masters, Donnelly, Stead, Symes and many more.
