Newspaper Article 1937 – Card Party For Triplets

CARD PARTY FOR TRIPLETS

Everyone who knows the King of Hearts or the Ace of Spades is invited to attend the card party for the benefit of the Hastings triplets next Thursday afternoon in the Assembly Hall, Hastings, at 2 o’clock. Every “four” of bridge must bring a card-table under one arm and two packs of cards and everyone must bring their own eats. Tea and a seat will be provided and the minimum subscription that you will pay for the fun you are undoubtedly going to have – and the prizes you might win – is two shillings.

We hope some will give more to help Mary, Elizabeth and Rose along the road of life.

Don’t forget next Thursday and make the triplets card party the biggest and best ever held in Hastings […] let.

If you want a seat reserved, ring Mrs. Maddison, Miss Elsie Williams, Mrs. Lovell-Smith, Mrs. A. F. Glenny or Mrs. Harold Thompson.
