The New Zealand Founders Society members represent descendants of the early New Zealand settlers who arrived prior to 31 December 1865.

1 High accolade for Founders leader – Nanette Roberts retired as president of the Hawke’s Bay branch in 2015, having served 19 years as president and 36 years in total.
2 Scandinavian settlement of the Seventy-Mile Bush – researched and written by Barry and Pauline Erickson, descendants of some of the original pioneers.
