From the introduction –
Waiwhare is a farming community, situated 50km west of Hastings on the Napier-Taihape Road. The focal point of the district is the school which, at the time of publication, is attended by 54 pupils and has three teachers, 1987 being the first time in the school’s 35 year history that three teachers have been employed there. This recipe book has only been made possible by the support and contributions from the school parents and members of the district, most of whom have strong links with the school at some time in their lives.
