One son, one daughter
Civil engineer with the Ministry of Works, Napier; began his training as a draughtsman in the Ministry of Works office at Napier in 1938 and after being transferred around the North Island came back to the Napier office as a civil engineer
Served with the 2nd NZ Expeditionary Force in the Middle East;  captured and made a prisoner-of-war at Oflag XII, Mainz, Germany, 16 July 1942
Continued as a civil engineer after the war and retired to Taupo
