[Information from Department of Internal Affairs – Births, Deaths and Marriages Online – Florence’s maiden name at her first marriage to Charles Harkness is Willett (1939). Her father is recorded as Edgar Queree and her mother as Miriam Queree (nee Willett) on her marriage certificate, to Owen Williams. So possibly her parents married after she was born. Or maybe Edgar Queree was not her father but she wrote his name in the absence of a known father. No father is recorded on her baptismal record. Mother and Florence were in the workhouse 2 months after her birth. – HBKB]
