Biography
Moved to Twyford aged 4 where his family had purchased a block of farmland
Moved to 800 Nelson Street, Hastings, after his father died in 1925; about this time he went to work at Wilson’s Orchards, and when that company moved into growing asparagus he eventually became a manager
After World War 2 service he got a rehab loan to buy a small property in St Andrew’s Road which he expanded
