Arrived in Port Chalmers from Somerset, England, with his family on the “Taranaki”, 22 December 1879
Came to Napier 1910
Worked for Ringlands’ Menswear before and after moving to Levin to manage his uncle’s farm
Came back to Napier 1935, later worked in butcher shop
