New Zealand Historic Places Trust Register Category 2, Number 1079
Situated on the corner of Heretaunga Street (no entry) and Karamu Road, Hastings
Built for William Young Dennett in 1886 in Victorian Colonial style
Two-storeyed timber construction with corrugated iron roof, double hung sash windows; upper floor with veranda and distinctive timber parapet imitating masonry buildings
Last owner was Michael Whittaker
Demolished December 2014
Red telephone box outside 1984 building
