Built in 1935 by H Faulknor Ltd (Emerson Street), and in 1940 by W Atherfold Builder (Tennyson Street)
Designed in Spanish Mission style (Emerson Street frontage), and in Neo-Norman style (Tennyson Street entrance) by architect Finch & Westerholm (Napier)
