Description

Ian and Marie Boyce managed Edgley House 1971-1973

Edgley House was at 23 Pembroke Street, Taradale and functioned as a children’s home from June 1966 until 1990

It was named “Edgley” after the late Mr Harold Edgley who had served as Secretary from 1923 until he was elected Chairman of Trustees in 1954, holding that position until 1965 – from “Providing Care, Hawke’s Bay Children’s Home Centenary 1892-1992”, compiled by HM Swinburn, page 35
