Description
– Nancy and Jim Stewart showing Mary the progress at the building site in Lennon Grove, Havelock North, 2004, their new house. (Nancy is Louise Newbigin’s sister)
– Lunch at the Newbigins’ – Jim presiding over Graham Wall, Jan Scotland, Pam Tremain, Tony Scotland
– My daughter Mary having a quiet time
– Louise and Mary stitching up some clothes
– The International Golf Tournament held at Hastings Golf Club 1998. Mr Liew (Singapore) wanted a photo for his office back home, asked me if I could pick out a suitable trophy. As the organiser of the tournament I obliged. A very charming man, brought with him three other players who they told me had a wonderful time.
– After a very successful dinner with Tim Wall (Martinborough) discussing the ins and outs of farming in the Wairarapa. Tim was married to my sister, Virginia.
– Jim giving a talk at Havelock North Rotary Club, 1997. The subject: “The Liquor Industry”. The club at that stage had eighty plus members and sadly those numbers have declined in recent years. It must have been about Christmas time, a glass of Te Mata Red (not Coleraine), wearing my Christ’s College Old Boys tie.
– Nancy Stewart and Mary Newbigin (my daughter) about to do some paving I think not.
– Louise and Jim at the cocktail party of the International Veterans Golf Tournament at the Hastings Golf Club, 1998
