Description

George Lowe and Geoff Pratt were members of the 12-strong Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition team of 1955-58 who successfully completed the first overland crossing of Antarctica via the South Pole when they reached Scott Base on 2 March 1958 after 99 days.
