Article in “The Hawke’s Bay Herald-Tribune”, Saturday 25 February, 1984, page 7 –
“Aviatrix Jean Batten visiting Bridge Pa in 1934 is pictured with Mrs Adamson of Hastings, who is more than 100 years old at the time. The aircraft is Moth G AARB in which Jean flew solo from England to Australia the same year.”

CENTENARIAN FLIES WITH GIRL AVIATOR
Miss Jean Batten, of Auckland, photographed with Mrs A. Adamson, of Hastings, whom she took for a flight in her aeroplane during her recent visit to Hastings. Mrs. Adamson, who is 100 years of age, has now made three flights. Both Mrs. Adamson and Miss Batten have been made life members of the Hawke’s Bay Aero Club.
