Description
Kinloch house alterations
1 – George Stanley (builder of Havelock North) laying foundations for alterations to the Kinloch house at Marina Terrace. The house was fronted onto the road and it was decided that we would turn it around so that we had a look onto the trees leading down to the reserve. So we moved the shower, the wc etc to the now back of the house, added on a new bedroom, took out a wall, extended the sitting room outwards. Put in a firewood burner, great for those winter evenings.
2 – Extensions of new bedroom
3 – Really taking shape at Marina Terrace, Kinloch, Taupo
4 – Now we are near completion. Fireplace in with chimney in place, opened up sitting room/kitchen, new roof, seating on verandah. George hard at it.
5 – Roof on. Looking out onto the road from the right. Kitchen, toilets to come and a bedroom to the left. George Stanley reviewing his handy work.
