Description

From Napier Centennial newspaper supplement, 1974 – “The military barracks high on the hill above Goldsmith Road dominated the skyline in 1857 while along the roadway below the early settlers showed that even then they were prpared [prepared] to put up with hill climbing to established homes “with a view.”
