“‘MODERN METHODS . – Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board members inspect the new cable laying machine at work near Hastings. This machine digs a 2 ft trench and lays a cable at the same time while steadily moving forward at a slow pace. The cable drum weighs five tons.”
