The committee responsible for the fund was Mr Robert Harding, the […] R.B. Gosnell and Dr. H.M. Wilson. The opening was performed by Mr C. Lassen, chairman of the Hospital Board, and the Mayor of Hastings (Mr G.A. Maddison) was one of the speakers.”
