Dear Sir
As you have acquired our old wagon I thought you may like to have a picture and a few details of same when in full use.
The names of the horses were Leaders (from left) “Jock, Jean, Blaze”
Shafters (from left) “Rose & Tiger”
Driver – Thos. Roberts.
Passenger – Shearers’ cook’s offsider, name unknown.
No. of bales of wool 20.
Each morning the wagon left at 6 a.m. for Waipukurau, returning at 3.30. p.m. then loaded for the next trip.
Waipukurau – 12 miles
Building behind – Waipukurau Hospital
date 1913.
