Text of article –

Waiwhare School, 31 miles from Hastings on the Taihape Rd, is one of the schools which received a small grant from the Post Office Savings Bank. The school committee had been saving for some time to buy a replacement piano and with the assistance of the grant was able to buy one recently. Picture shows the husband and wife teacher team, Mr and Mrs JA McDonald, with pupils of the school during a singing session yesterday.
