Additional information –
Wimbledon about 1912. Rear centre is the two-storeyed Wimbledon Hotel, diagonally opposite is the store. Gollan’s woolshed and yards are closest to the front. The first Longley home was behind the trees near the hotel. The small shed on the right was used to store hazardous substances, including gunpowder. The road at the top leads to Herbertville. The Porangahau road comes in from the left. Out of sight at the bottom of this picture are the homes of Gollan and Hales.
