NOTIFICATION TO REPORT FOR TRAINING.
You are hereby instructed to report to the R.N.Z.A.F. Ground Training School, Levin, on Sunday the 27th July, 1941, to commence training as AIRMAN PILOT.
Travelling warrants/tickets will be forwarded in due course, and you must therefore immediately advise this Headquarters of any change of your address.
You must ensure by a sufficiently early departure that you will be able to connect with the appropriate transport service shown in the enclosed schedule.
It will be necessary to take the following personal effects :-
Shirts, plain blue, grey, or white 2
Undershirts, cotton 2
Pyjamas (prs.) 2
Towels 2
Suit, swimming 1
White trousers or shorts (preferably shorts) for recreational purposes (pr.) 1
Shaving gear.
If you have been supplied with the Air Force Preliminary Educational Course, you must also take all sets held by you.
Volunteer Badge No. – and Social Security levy-book must be handed to the Accountant Officer immediately upon arrival at the Ground Training School.
You should immediately inform your employer of your obligation to report on the above-mentioned date, and your attention is drawn to Regulation 7 of the Occupational Re-establishment Emergency Regulations 1939, whereby your acceptance for service may not be used by your employer as a reason for terminating your employment.
Receipt of this notice should immediately be acknowledged by a telegram in the following form :
