Akhurst, Doris In Memoriam Notice 1979

AKHURST, Doris
I watched you suffer,
I watched you sigh,
All I could do,
Was just stand by.
But when the time came,
I suffered too,
I lived hoped, prayed in vain
For God to make you well again.
You suffered in silence,
Your spirit did not bend,
You fought for your life,
With courage until the very end.
If teardrops could build a stairway
Or memories could build a lane,
I would walk my way to heaven,
And bring you home again.
So sadly missed and always in my heart, your loving husband Arthur.
