On Highway 2 between Napier and Hastings at Mangateretere. The world famous tree seen alongside the 1918 Thornycroft truck has 117 varieties from 31 countries and includes many unusual names such as Peasgood Nonsuch, England; Nonnetit Bastard, Denmark; Scraren Kitaska, Russia; King Cole, Australia and Eliza Rathke (Weeping apple) from U.S.A.
