re PROCEEDING TO GUARD COMPANY PALMERSTON NORTH.

You are to proceed to Guard Vital Points at Palmerston North, on Friday, 4th. July, 1941.

You will parade at the Drill Hall Hastings at 2-15 P.M. on 4/7/41, and proceed to Palmerston North by special train.

Please take your Levy Book and a suitable bag for the return of your Civilian Clothing.

Description

Albert Ward grew up in Otane. After marrying Vera they moved to Frimley in Hastings where they raised a daughter. Vera died in 2007, the daughter in 2010.
