Peacefully at home at Kohupatiki after a long valiant struggle, on Saturday 13, 1997.
Dearly beloved wife and friend for over 57 years of Bill (William Tireni).
Cherished mother of Ted and the late Jean, Mathew and Pauline, Lambeth and Joan, and the late Guy and Sue.
Beloved Nan of the late Stephen, Rachel and Patrick, Jonathan, Shayne, Danyal, Biance (Gosford, NSW.), Te One and Michelle (Nelson), Julianna (London), Tireni, Kelly and Sarah, and Haley and Amy.
Great-grandmother to the late Brodie Te Rongopai, Jayde, Samantha, Haley, Kaitlin, and Nathaniel.
Ae ahakoa haere ahau i te awaawa o te atarangi o te mate, kahore he kino e wehi ai ahau, no te mea kei toku taha koe, ko tau rakau, ko tau tokotoko ko ena hei oranga ngakau moku.

Lena will lie in state at her Marae at Kohupatiki until Monday 15, when her funeral service will take place at 11am.

Much loved sister and sister-in-law of the late Whoppi Hape and the late Pat, late Oscar Epps and Teta, late Aro and Rurunira, late Skip and Georgina, late John and late Jenny.
Very much cherished Aunty and Nanny to the Robin, Hape and Epps Whanau.
