Married 1934 Hugh Blair, now widowed; seven children – Colleen Agnes (b 1935), Brian Hugh (b 1937), Josephine Margaret Urana (b 1938), Lois Rosaline (b 1940), Hugh O’Neill (b 1942), Raylee May (b 1944), Kenneth John (b 1945).
Educated Napier Technical School.
Honorary social worker, Justice of the Peace, civil marriage celebrant.
Awarded QSM 1991, Queen’s Silver Jubilee Medal 1977, 1990 Commemorative Medal.
Justice of the Peace. Life Member, president 1958-74 Napier Branch Council of Women, member Business and Professional Women, Townswomen’s Guild, Age Concern.
Leisure activities include craft, reading, local history, antiques.
