THE COUNTY CLUB WAS ESTABLISHED AS A RETREAT FOR THE BUSINESS, PROFESSIONAL AND FARMING FRATERNITY TO MEET IN A FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE FOR RELAXATION AND COMRADESHIP. ITS FIRST PRESIDENT WAS GEORGE EBBETT WHO WAS LATER TO BECOME THE TOWN’S MAYOR.
THE CLUB PROVIDES A READING ROOM, 3 FULL SIZE BILLIARDS AND SNOOKER TABLES, A CARD ROOM, RESTAURANT, LOUNGE, SHOWERING FACILITIES, POKER MACHINES AND A WELL APPOINTED BAR AND BOTTLE STORE.
THE READING ROOM AND RESTAURANT ARE AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS FOR SEMINARS AND MEMBERS PRIVATE FUNCTIONS.
THE CLUB IS AVAILABLE FOR FEMALE MEMBERSHIP.
