OUR CLUB IS GOING TO DINNER:   Our Club Service Committee are on the ball and sill be contacting all members personally, in an endeavour to give everyone the opportunity to join the Club Going to Dinner on Saturday evening, 20th May. We repeat, that this evening is not a formal Rotary Meeting but simply a gathering of good friends, so that we all may enjoy and get to know each other a little better during an evening meal. Get it all together at the Angus Inn – 7 p.m. – take time out to say hello to each other – an A La Carte Dinner approx 8 p.m. Sit back and enjoy the night – Our Club is Going to Dinner.

PRESIDENT’S CORNER
Fellows,
Do you know the rules for Making Up?
You can plan ahead for your Make Up, or you can Make Up after you miss. It will count as a Make Up for attendance missed in your Home Club, if you attend a meeting six days prior to, or on the same day, or six days following the day you miss. Just ask the Secretary of that Club to send a card to the Secretary of your Home Club, showing that you attended that day.   DON.

NOMINATION:   The following nomination has been approved by the Directors and the nominee has agreed to his name going forward:
Banking Services – Denis Barber
If no objections are received by the 15 May, 1978, then the proposed member will be considered duly elected.

R.Y.L.A. REPORT. Our R.Y.L.A. Officer, Frank Darroch reports the selection of two Awardees to attend the R.Y.L.A. Seminar at Cambridge on 13 May for an extensive leadership course of one week:-
Hamish Campbell – age 22 years – Production Trainee
Sonja Lucas – age 22 years – Shop Assistant
Last year, approximately 70 young people took part in the Rotary Youth Leadership Award, and benefited from the series of lectures, discussion groups, outdoor activity and social activity, and with the support of all Rotary Clubs in our District, the organisers expect another successful seminar.
We congratulate our two Awardees and look forward to meeting them at one of our Luncheon meetings. R.Y.L.A. – “Service to Youth”.
