PRESIDENT GARY’S CORNER
What a breath of fresh air it was to have Gene and the GSE Team visiting us this week. It was also good to see so many visitors from other clubs. Meeting members of the Team and seeing the calibre of Team members we send away reinforces the good that Rotary does and should strengthen our resolve to increase our support for GSE teams, Student Exchange and RYLA.
The Youth of Today are the Leaders of Tomorrow and it will be too late to advise them when they are our age.

For those of you who missed last week’s Luncheon Meeting and the opportunity to meet members of the GSE team and their leader, Gene A Braught, one of the most enthusiastic Rotarians I have had the pleasure to meet. How does this read for an example of Rotary Service.
Past President of three different Rotary Clubs
Past District Governor
Recipient of Rotary Foundation “Citation for Meritorious Service” and “Distinguished Service Award”
A Paul Harris Fellow with 43 years of perfect (100%) attendance.

Leave of Absence has been granted to Derek Burns for 4 months from 12 February.

Ex Rotarian Brian [Bryan] Hutchinson will be welcomed back into club membership at our next Luncheon meeting.

MORE ON GROUP STUDY EXCHANGE
Farewell to our Texas visitors will be held in the Members lounge, Waikato Racing Club, Saturday 7 April.
If you happen to be in Hamilton why not join in the Farewell.

NEXT OUTWARD TEAM 1990/91
Rotary Foundation has paired us (District 993) with District 180 Germany, in the Hanover area. With changes in Europe this will be a most interesting exchange.
