PRESIDENT GARY’S CORNER
Fellows, at long last the last President’s comments from me.
Thanks to Don for always being so patient with me for always being so late with my comments for the newsletter.
Thanks to all you fellows for being so supportive in my year as President. One of the highlights has been having lunch each week with a different interesting person. Another has been looking at the smiling faces of you Rotarians expecting to make comments of great importance. These have not always been forthcoming but your support at all times has been appreciated.
I look forward to seeing you all at Changeover on Monday 2 July to ensure that I do not have to carry on for another year, but mainly to give your support to your new President, Neil and his team for the ensuing year.

GROUP STUDY EXCHANGE
The District will be sending a GSE Team to Germany for 6 weeks during March, April, May of next year.
Nominations are being called for the position of Team Leader.
If you would be interested in putting your name forward to the selection committee Hugh Douglas would be happy to give you the necessary information. There is some urgency in this matter.

NEXT YEAR’S DIRECTORS
The following fellows were elected:
Past President   John Mills
Past President   Charlie Trask
Floor Member   Sandy Struthers

CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT
St John Ambulance and Birthright were both presented with cheques for $2500 by President Gary last Tuesday.
A successful conclusion to another great project.

To President Gary
We would all like to thank you for your leadership over the past year.
You certainly promoted the theme and we did “Enjoy Rotary” and as you hand over we say welcome to Neil.
We look forward to another good year in the Hastings Rotary Club under his leadership.
