Monday 09 July – Club Service Committee meets at Frank Crist’s, 706 Tomoana Road at 7.30pm.
Monday 16 July – Directors meet at President Neil’s home, 1018 Gordon Road at 7.45pm.
Fellows, President Neil has requested that at next week’s luncheon you sit with your committee chairman and fellow committee members at the one table.
The person for this request will become obvious.

PRESIDENT NEIL’S NOTES.
This past year has been proof to me that time certainly doesn’t stand still. It seems no time since I attended the Club changeover as in – coming Vice-President and now that year has gone. The unpleasant result of this is the realisation that I am a year older – but where did it go? There are those who think that with time passing, one should slow down, however I can’t help but feel a greater urgency to get on and do the things that need to be done, or that I want to do.
I hope to some degree fellows, this will be the approach of the Club this year, that rather than sitting back and hoping the right things happen, that members will actively participate through their committees and make them happen. The various committee goals don’t have to be “large” or “glamorous”, just achievable. The result is two- fold – needs are met and people helped, while the satisfaction of achieving together enhances the fellowship we share. I look forward to a good year.

CHANGEOVER NIGHT – was a great success with an attendance of 45 Rotarians, 30 wives plus four Rotary widows. The meal was magnificent and those of you did not (or could not) attend, missed a wonderful evening.

MAKE A NOTE – That the Napier Rotary Club now meets at 12.15 pm on Mondays at the “Cosi Club”, Marine Parade.

MELT NEW DISTRICT GOVERNOR – JIM JUDD
Jim will be known to many of you. He joined the Stortford Club in 1976 and was Club President 1981/82. He was the District Governor Rep in 1984/85. Jim has a long record of service to both the public and business communities.
