PRESIDENT MERV’S COMMENTS
This is the last bulletin of my year as President and I would like to take the opportunity of thanking all the members who have helped keep the club operating smoothly and getting things done.
There are too many to list but the efforts of so many make it possible to get so much done.
To incoming President John and his team may I wish them all the best for an enjoyable, fruitful year in 1994-1995.
I remind fellows of the objects of Rotary:
1   Developing contacts as an opportunity for service.
2   High ethical standards in business.
3   The application of the ideal of service to business and community life.
4   The advancement of international goodwill, understanding and peace.
Thank you fellows and I look forward to joining you at the ‘lower’ tables for lunch.

RESIGNATIONS
Directors have accepted with much regret the resignations of Terry James and Tony Brian.

Your Directors have agreed to a grant of $500 toward the cost of a young Hastings lady, Deborah Ward, attending a Mobility International USA – International Young Adult Leadership Exchange.
Deborah will participate in a wide-ranging programme to be held at Eugene, Oregon, USA in August.
CCS is Deborah’s principal sponsor and she has been selected as the only representative from New Zealand.

CHANGE OVER DINNER MONDAY 20 JUNE
An important occasion for all members as we conclude one Rotary year and begin another. John Peryer has planned an excellent evening for the enjoyment of all members and wives/partners.
Tickets available from John or committee chairmen. Alternatively, phone John re your attendance and then pay at the door.
