Professor Emeritus Otago University 1983-; visiting researcher Dunedin Multidisciplinary Health and Development Unit Otago University; former chairman Department of Education Otago University; member NZ Psychological Society, Australia and New Zealand Sociological Society, ACANZ.
Author of The Role of the Pupil (Routledge & Kegan Paul, 1975), health reports.
Life member Otago Playcentre Association, Marriage Guidance Dunedin, past president NZ Playcentre Federation, member three committees Presbyterian Support Services Otago.
Leisure activities include walking, gardening, writing, painting.
