Centrepoint Promotions held a meeting last evening 6th December. There was a very poor attendance.

PRESENT – Mrs. E. Lister, Mr. Page, Mr. Sweeney, Mr. O’Connor, Mr. Stevenson, Mr. Johnson, Mrs. Campbell.

MARKET DAY – Market Day will be held on 6th January 1977. Advertising with the radio has been booked and trestles will be available from McKenzies Department Store. Newspapers have been advised, and copy for all advertisements must be taken to the Herald-Tribune no later than the 29th December. Last years’ January Market Day was a boomer and being holiday time we should be able to expect the same this year if we are prepared to put some effort into it.

It was felt that a Social evening held after the Market Day on 6th January would be more appropriate than having an evening before Christmas. With new liquor laws prevailing we cannot take junior staff members to a hotel even if it is a private function. We have enquired at Rolands and we can have a smorgasbord at $5 per head on the 6th, drinks are paid for separately.

Below is a tear off strip that we would like to have filled in and returned by the 14th December so that arrangements can be finalised.

Smorgasbord to be held Rolands 6th January 1977 $5 per head.
