Educated Dannevirke and Wairarapa High Schools. FC A 1948.
Retired chartered accountant; director Wairarapa Times-Age Co Ltd.
Councillor Wellington Regional Council, chairman Wairarapa Committee 1989-. Mayor Masterton Borough Council 1974-86;  chairman Wairarapa United Council 1983-89, Wairarapa Regional Development Council 1989-91, NZ Local Government Association Roading and Transport Committee 1987-91.
Board of Wellington Methodist Charitable and Educational Endowments 1978-. Awarded QSO 1985. Justice of the Peace 1973-. RNZAF flying instructor 1954-45.
Leisure activities include boating, fishing, tramping.
Address 20 Second Street, Masterton.
