Telecom Hawke’s Bay

No. 4   Brett Hunt   Centre/F   6’8”
Up from Palmerston North, Brett was approached last year but unavailable. Not flashy, but more than adequately gets the job done.

No. 5   Guy Sayers   Centre   6’8”
Back from a year of [off] with injury and transfering [transferring] from Palmerston North. A player with true big man skills.

No. 6   Robert Aird   Guard   6’1”
Summer in the Bay has done a lot for the players but none more than Robert. Looking the best this year since ’83.

No. 7   Jarrard Gallagher   Guard/F   6’3”.
Straight out of Church College, Jarrard’s play has improved in the last 12 months 300%. A really tough handful on ‘D’.

No. 9   Albert Ellis   Guard/F   6’2”
Church College stand-out from a couple of years back. Has ball skills and bulk to play either guard or forward.

No. 10   Clyde Harris   Forward   6’6”
This guy keeps on learning so fast that another year and his strength and tenacity will hurt other teams.

No. 11   Marshall Forman   Guard   6’0”
Only a young guy but a big future. Another good shooter with a great vertical leap.

No. 12   Dave Smith   Forward   6’7 ½”
Possibly one of NZ’s best big men. Dave has worked out in the summer and is looking better than ever.

No. 13   Eric Clarke   Centre/F   6’8”
6’8” and one of the strongest and best defensive players in NZ. Look what happens with additional Kiwi size.

No. 14   Willie Burton   Forward   6’7”
Leading rebounder and a top all-round player in CBL last year, and he’s been busy over the summer.

No. 15   Jack Maere   Guard   6’0”
The old cliché “Like a good wine, get’s getter with age” doesn’t seem to do justice to Jack. Still the best.

Coach Graeme Dimock   Manager Torro Brown
