The Secretary

Hastings.

Dear Mr Crist,

Thank you for your letter of recent date offering assistance to us. Your kind offer is made at a most appropriate time when we are improving and streamlining our administration. Our entire administrative staff tor Hawke’s Bay consists of myself and a secretary. We have been examining the feasability [feasibility] of purchasing a micro computer so that we can establish such things as a database containing our childrens details, family circumstances etc. We also spend a lot of time each month compiling reports returns etc. It is anticipated a microcomputer will release us from the tedium of some of the office work so that we can spend more time on providing the service that we were established to deliver. Anticipated cost of a computer and software is in the region of $4000.00.

Any offer of assistance is very welcome and yours is warmly appreciated.

Dr Ian Hunter, our president has indicated that he would be available as a guest speaker should you so wish it at any time and if you require him please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours faithfuly [faithfully]
