Retired 1975-, formerly civil engineer, regular NZ Army Staff Corps and 2NZEF 1937-60 retiring as Colonel. Decorations include DSO 1945, OBE 1951.
Represented Canterbury University College at rowing 1944.
Leisure activities include reading, gardening, Freemasons, research.
