Awarded Kellogg Travelling Fellowship to Australian states 1977.
Principal Napier Boys’ High School, formerly housemaster Nelson College 1963-71, inspector of secondary schools 1972-76.
Cricket and rugby coach, represented Canterbury Colts at hockey.
Leisure activities include trout fishing, golf, theatre.
