Gay Rights Activist.
Born Hastings 3 October 1947.
Educated Hastings Boys’ High School; Canterbury University 1966-73 – BA 1970; Christchurch Teachers’ College 1974 – Diploma of Teaching. ATCL (speech and drama) 1965.
Secondary school teacher.
President Canterbury University Students’ Association 1973, life member 1974. Co-founder Gay Liberation Front Christchurch 1973; National Gay Rights Coalition 1977, executive member, co-ordinator 1978-79.
Political party activities: Values Party candidate 1972, 1975, 1978. Awarded Values Party Ten Year Award 1982 for services to and promotion of gay rights.
Leisure activities include photography, reading, writing, travel, films, theatre, food.
Address 386 Oxford Terrace, Avon Loop, Christchurch 8001.
