Foreign-going master in British ships, currently marine surveyor and director G.W. Dunsford and Associates Ltd, Dunsford Marine Ltd.
Past secretary NZ Company of Master Mariners, Fellow Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters, member Association of Average Adjusters UK and USA, Institute of Nautical Surveyors and Maritime Law Association, warden Pamir Association, NZ and vice-president Durham Association, London.
Publications include Coastal and Ocean Navigation.
Volunteer Reserve Decoration RNZNVR 1969.
Leisure activities include gardening and writing.
