WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BOY IN SANDSHOES?

Didn’t he grow up like his brothers? He did – but, poor boy, he didn’t get to High School – Hastings High School that is! He – Stuart – had to ‘make do’ with Wellington College!! The rest of us – oldest brother Ross, youngest brother Richard, and me – Bryce – look back on happy years at Hastings High, and with real gratitude to ‘Wag’ Penlington, ‘Jonah’ Jones, ‘Ma’ Steele, ‘Charlie’ Aitken, ‘Tommy’ Atkins, ‘Show’ Craven, and the many other dedicated teachers who had to put up with three of the ‘Jones Boys of Bon Marche.’
