Member of NZ Red Cross Huntly branch for 18 years, treasurer 10 years; co-founder Huntly and Districts Business and Professional Women’s Club; foundation member Huntly Historic Society, Museum Trust Board, Kimihia Home for the Aged Trust Board; president Huntly Pakeke Lions Club 1988 – first woman president of Lions Club in Waikato.
Justice of the Peace 1980, elected president Huntly branch Waikato Justices of the Peace 1988.
Awarded 1990 Commemorative Medal.
Leisure activities include gardening, knitting.
