CONDITIONS GOVERNING APPOINTMENT OF GARDENER FOR “WAIKOKO” GARDENS, SHOW GROUNDS, TOMOANA.

(1)   DUTIES: To take complete charge of the “Waikoko” Gardens, Show Grounds, Tomoana and lawns, including the growing of seedlings. The gardens are specially prepared for the Spring Show in October and for the Autumn Show in March and in each case the flower beds are completely re-planted with the exception of the rose beds and during the year, in addition to the Shows the gardens are used for other functions. During the main planting extra help is provided should it be deemed necessary. Mr. George Harper, our senior man is responsible for the whole of the Grounds.
(2)   ACCOMMODATION: Part of the “Waikoko” House is available and occupied by the present gardener.
(3)   WAGES AND OTHER PRIVILEGES: £8 per week, payable fortnightly, free house and right to keep one cow; own vegetable garden.
(4)   APPLICANTS: Applicants to advise age, previous experience supported by testimonials.
