Born Pahiatua 9 July 1951.
Educated Napier Girls’ High School; Hokitika High School; Central Southland College – Dux 1968; Otago University 1969-73 – Bachelor of Arts 1973, Bachelor of Music (Honours) 1974; Christchurch Teachers’ Training College – Diploma of Teaching (Distinction) 1974, LRSM 1976; Auckland University 1977-80 – Master of Music (Honours) 1981; University of Washington, Seattle 1981-85 – MM 1985.
Awarded Fowlds Memorial Prize 1978, NZ Fellowship of University Women Scholarship 1981.
Music teacher Southland Girls’ High School 1975, 1976, musical director Auckland Dorian Choir 1986-, musical director National Youth Choir of NZ 1988-, part-time lecturer Auckland University.
Member NZ Choral Federation, NZ Federation of University Women.
Conducted African Sanctus by David Fanshawe for Auckland Dorian Choir, Auckland Town Hall 1986 – Mobil Radio Award.
