Hamlin, Martha Theodore Thanks Notice 1998

HAMLIN, Martha Theodore.
The whanau of the late Martha Hamlin extends heartfelt thanks to all who played a part in giving our Mum a beautiful farewell.
Thanks to all who sent cards, messages, floral tributes, kai and koha and thanks especially for the tremendous support received throughout Mum’s illness, her tangi and even now.
Special gratification goes to: our kaumatua at the house and on the paepae; nga kaikaranga; nga rinawera at home and at the marae; the very Rev. Duncan Jamieson for being on call 24 hours a day; the Heretaunga Maori Pastorate whose members were ever-present; and all the ministers of varying denominations who officiated at the service.
To Mane Neho who treated Mum like royalty, and whose blessed humour and infectious laughter made us forget, all be it only temporarily, the solemnity of the occasion, God Bless.
To the Waipatu Marae Committee which was gracious in not only its hospitality, but also in granting Mum’s last wish that her final resting place be beside our youngest brother, Phillip.
Kia ora koutou.
Ka nui te aroha mo tatou katoa.
NB The family will be taking Mum’s mate back to Mahia on Saturday, February 7, 1998.
Anyone interested is most welcome to accompany us.
