Henry Newbigin Obituary 1941
MR. H. J. NEWBEGIN [NEWBIGIN]
The death has occurred of Mr. Henry James Newbegin [Newbigin], of Napier. Born in Auckland, Mr. Newbegin, who was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Newbegin, was a keen footballer, cricketer and bowler. He was educated at the Newton East School, and was a member of the Epiphany Church. He joined the Independent Order of Oddfellows’ Lodge in 1898 and was secretary for a number of years. He was also a member of the Druids’ Lodge. His wife predeceased him seven years ago.
