Formerly teaching USA, assistant professor of Philosophy Hampden-Sydney University, Virginia 1969-73, chaplain Auckland University 1973-79, head of department Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology 1980-83.
Publications include Peace is Possible (Auckland: Pacific Publishers, 1976), Dialogue on Religion (Auckland University Bindery, 1977), Under the Southern Cross (Hamilton: Outrigger Publishers, 1980) and Confronting the Nuclear Age (Sydney: Peacemaker, 1982), 50 published articles.
Organiser of seven international conferences on peace, religion, sport and related topics.
Awarded 1990 Commemorative Medal for services to education.
Political party activities: candidate for Eden in 1978 election.
Leisure activities include horticulture and writing.
